This is exactly the problem of LGBT white community that is having white men analyze and put in leadership roles to figure out how to outreach to communities of color and unfortunately privileged white gays like Andrew Sullivan can only use one lens that is so white to see the complicated issues of sexuality in black communities. Folks like Andrew only further alienate communities of color. Andrew Sullivan is as white as they come. Obviously everybody's world view and opinion on things are going to be shaped by their personal experiences. If Sullivan has had negative experiences with Blacks before, then obviously they'd receive a disproportionate amount of the blame. I, personally, on the other hand, know way more homophobic people who are white...so go figure. And the statistics that are on any poll shouldn't be trusted. Rule #1 of statistics = you can always make them say what you want if you twist the numbers. That's why I say, with a 95% confidence interval, that 85% of people polled call me a young Will Smith. True or False? Dude…
